Bantry Harbour Open Day – Fun For all the Family!
What: Bantry Harbour Open Day
When: Sunday 12th August 2018 2.00 - 5.00pm
Where: Bantry Harbour Marina and Bantry Town
The first ever Bantry Harbour Open Day will take place on Sunday 12th August 2018 at Bantry Harbour Marina with many events free to attend for the public. Organised by Bantry Bay Port Company, events on the day will include free family entertainment on the marina, live music in the town square, a family cycle, a demonstration by the Irish Coastguard on land and sea and an opportunity for visitors to ‘Try Kayaking’.
Aimed at embracing what Bantry Harbour has to offer, Bantry Harbour Open Day aims to raise awareness and promote the different activities available for locals and visitors to Bantry both on and off the water.
Captain Paul O’Regan, Bantry Bay Port Company Harbour Master said: ‘This time last year we officially opened Bantry Harbour Marina and we really wanted to show our ongoing commitment to the town and harbour by organising Bantry Harbour Open Day. Hopefully this year will be a great success and we can further develop the event over the coming years.’
