NOTICE TO MARINERS - REF A of 2016
Whiddy Jetty REF A 2016
Please be advised that removal of Debris from the existing Whiddy Oil Jetty will take place from the 29th of August 2016, Expected completion date is the 2nd of October 2016. (Weather Dependant)
The MV tOileanach will be the support platform for this operation and will be assisted by the Mv Kismet and will be operating in the vicinity of this jetty for the duration of works.
Work vessels will display all lights and shapes as per the International Collision Regulations.
Please be advised due to the nature of the works being carried out debris may extend outside the jetty platform.
Mariners are advised to keep clear of the site area at all times, vessels should not come within 100 metres of the works.
Mariners should be aware that the effect of wash may be felt at a distance from the source and should adjust their speed accordingly when navigating in the vicinity of the above craft.
The International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea give clear guidelines on keeping a proper lookout and on safe speed.
