The Port of Bantry is situated on the south coast in the Republic of Ireland and there are four main industries in Bantry Bay: Aquaculture; Oil Transhipment; Stone Export; and Tourism.
The majority of ships calling at the port are bulk cargo and tankers. A number of cruise liners anchor either off Glengarriff or in Bantry Inner Harbour.
Bantry Marina
Bantry Harbour Marina is located at 51°40.8 'N/09°27.7'W
The Marina is available all year round for use by owners of leisure craft, designed primarily for day trips or short term stays in Bantry. The Marina is owned and operated by Bantry Bay Port Company DAC. The 25 berth marina, located in close vicinity to the Maritime hotel is a short stroll from the town centre. All berths are dredged to a minimum of 4.0 metres chart datum. You can find local sailmakers, boat builders, experienced engineers/welders and fabricators within 10-15 miles from Bantry Harbour Marina. Fuel and groceries are available adjacent to the marina or for larger fuel needs GW Biggs & Co can supply larger vessels.
